NEW! - Ballerina Cake - February, 2004 If you will recall back a full year ago, Dolly's entire caking adventure started with Katelyn (see the History Page for the full scoop). A year ago Dolly was too intimidated to attempt a cake for Katelyn's birthday. And now Dolly is able to pull off the cake and a molded candy dancer to boot! This is not a doctored picture - that dancer actually stands straight up out of the cake. How does she do it? Like a good magician, Dolly does not reveal her secrets! (Mr. Dolly addition - But like a sneaky web designer, I will give you a hint: PVC!!!) (Dolly addition - Wanted: New web designer. Requirements: Decent HTML skills, some creative ability, and a good understanding that loose lips sink ships!) |

NEW! - Fireworks Cake - February, 2004 Cousin Kyler tried to challenge Dolly's abilities with his birthday cake request. He wanted a cake with fireworks and balloons. Dora the Explorer Cake - February, 2004 Dolly made this cake for niece Madison's birthday. Dolly had trouble making this cake. You see, a red fox in a mask stole her best frosting bag! Then this little girl and a monkey wearing snow boots showed up and insisted on helping. The girl produced a talking map from her backpack, which said they had to pass the following locations before finding the frosting bag: - Cake Batter Lake - Baking Bridge - Frosting Mountain The adventures indeed took them past all three locations. After passing the Frosting Mountain, they found this fox and recovered the frosting bag. And the cake was completed on time! Swiper, no swiping!!! Swiper, no swiping!!! |

Golf Cake -
January, 2004 FORE!!! Uncle Tim's birthday was the occasion for this cake. The cake features a full hole, complete with tee, fairway, water hazard, bunkers, and green. You will notice that there are already three balls in play. Dolly's ball is in the water hazard. Good thing Dolly can swim. Uncle Tim's ball is in the sand trap near the green. He went for the green, but came up just short. Mr. Dolly's ball is on the green next to the pin. Too bad it took him 12 strokes to get there!!! |

Deer Hunter
Cake - January, 2004 Dolly made this cake for Mr. Dolly's dad's birthday. Mr. Dolly's dad likes to hunt. The story of his first deer has been told many times. He took the family car and drove two hours to join his hunting group, leaving behind his wife who was already a week overdue with their first child. He got his first deer on that trip, and made it home with a week to spare before Mr. Dolly was born. Way to go, Dad! |

Christmas
Tree Cake - December, 2003 Dolly made this cake for Christmas. The reason for Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. So it is fitting that He should have a cake for His birthday. The evergreen tree represents everlasting life, and the star represents His light that continually shines down upon us. Happy birthday, Jesus! Come back soon! |

Smart Set Cake
- December, 2003 Behold the Smart Set Spectacular!!! Dolly made this for Mr. Dolly's birthday. It features three of Mr. Dolly's favorite things. It includes a Smart Set salt shaker - the greatest Red Wing Dinnerware pattern of all time. It has a working water fountain - no cake should be without one. And it is surrounded by Reese's Peanut Butter Cups - around the base of the fountain unless Mr. Dolly ate them before the picture was taken! Combined together, this cake is nearly perfect!!! Nearly perfect??? If only Dolly had access to a Smart Set buffet... |
