This was Dolly's most ambitious cake endeavor yet! The pictures betray its size and beauty. The base is 10 inches across, and it stands about 18 inches high. Adorned with butterflies, purple flowers, and little pink hearts, this is a really wonderful cake. Dolly made this for Grandma Mary's birthday.

Dolly's Daddy loves to play the guitar, and Dolly loves to hear him play it. Dolly's Daddy also likes to play the banjo... and Dolly loves to hear him play the guitar! So Dolly made him a guitar cake for his birthday. It's a Taylor, just like Dolly's Daddy's guitar. And it includes an authentic "stolen from Moe's" pick!

This is Dolly's version of a "death by chocolate" cake. Dolly made it for her Mom's birthday. This is a tiered chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting, covered by a chocolate ganache, and topped with long chocolate candy thingies. Katelyn says it looks like a volcano. Dolly disagrees.
Dolly made this cake "just because". No special occasion, she just felt like making a cake. Dolly went all out with the fancy design (thus the ingenious name for this cake). It also tasted as good as it looked!
Dolly make this cake when Uncle Nick and Aunt Eleanor came to town. You could say it was the star of the show. You could say that, but Dolly doesn't like puns!

This is one of Dolly's masterpieces - a "Bob the Builder" cake for Benjamin's 4th birthday. It also represents the financial payoff of Dolly's cake decorating endeavors. After investing hundreds of dollars in classes and supplies (not to mention cake mixes and powdered sugar), Dolly saved $20 by making a cake instead of buying one from the Wal-Mart bakery!
